Pan_American_GoJu Ryu

Grand Master Sinclair L. Thorne is a native of Colon, Panama. After practicing for over 40 years Master Thorne has incorporated a series of techniques and katas that complements the GoJu art by adding the philosophy and native culture of Panama, and combined them with USA GoJu style of play. Being a minister and a Pastor of the Gospel, we have removed the Shinto, the Buddhism belief and ritual from the Pan American GoJu Ryu and added our own traditional belief, along with the naive dance, and farmers stools coming from our culture. We put together a series of self defense techniques. katas, and weapons training that will separate us from the norm. Many years of study and training has been applied to this style of karate. This would not be complete without the assistant and expertise of Master Armando Coulborne, together we have accomplished a life dream and we are leaving the legacy in the hands of our dedicated students. This style has been recognized and accepted by Grand Master Peter Urban. Pan American GoJu Ryu will stand along side all the other GoJu systems. The Pan American GoJu will be part of the Society of Harmonious Fists where Grand Master Balfour Wright is the founder. In keeping with the wishes of our forefathers and Patreaitl of the martial arts Pan American GoJu will maintain said, every GoJu master is their own man, no one other than God will be over us.
